For electricians, plumbers, painters & scaffolders
Run the job and issue the certificate — in one app
The same offline engine that writes inspection reports and runs a build day now does trade jobs: your hours, travel and purchases scoped to the job, a spoken-and-photographed record for the client, and the compliance certificates you have to issue — pre-filled, signed and locked.
Pick your trade
One app that becomes an electrician's or a plumber's
You choose your trade when you set up, matched to your registration where it applies — so HammerHand shows the job tools and the compliance documents for your trade, and the certificates you issue are always ones you're qualified for. Registered across more than one trade? HammerHand shows all of them — and a sparky who also does Healthy Homes steps up to Tradie+, which adds the inspection side on top.
- Electrician, plumber/gasfitter, builder, inspector, painter or scaffolder — your choice
- Same capture, provenance and sync engine underneath
- Set at sign-up and matched to your registration, if applicable
The job tools, shared
Everything that runs a build, on your job
Staff hours, daily tasks, purchases and travel work exactly as they do on a build — and they're all scoped to this job's address, so the costs and mileage land on the right job automatically.
Log staff hours
Per person, per day, with the wage rate kept as at that day. Job-costed and ready for payroll.
Daily tasks
Write the day's jobs, tick them off, and unfinished ones roll to tomorrow.
Purchases
Photograph a receipt and it's read and assigned to this job for your costing and GST records.
Materials used
Record what you fit as you go — type it, dictate it, or photograph the packaging. Totalled and billable to the client; your cost prices stay private.
Travel log
Log trips against the job — IRD-rate deduction and optional client on-charge worked out for you.
Invoice
Labour flows from your staff log and materials from your cost list — each with the markup you set — plus on-charged travel and GST. Charge up a whole job or claim by stage on a long one — every invoice numbered, dated and locked. Your costs stay private.
Client handover
Send the client one pack — progress record, photos, materials used, the invoice and issued certificates. Your hours and cost prices stay private.
Scoped to the job
Enter the address once when you start; it flows through the tools and onto every certificate.
Record the job
Dictate the problem, photograph it — start to finish
For each thing you find or do, tap the mic and talk, snap a photo, and save it as one entry. Tap once to start recording, tap again to finish. Every entry is time-stamped and GPS-tagged, and you can tap any of them later to see the photo and the voice-to-text. That record becomes the client's story of the job.
- Voice-to-text description + photo, together as one record
- Tap to review any entry — photo and transcript
- Rolls straight into the client handover pack
Compliance certificates
Issue the certificate on site — and it fills itself
Certification is the last step, once the job's done. Each certificate mirrors the real EWRB, WorkSafe or PGDB form, and opens most of the way filled: the installation address from the job, your name and registration from your profile, and today's date. You review, capture the job-specific detail, and sign — you don't retype what HammerHand already knows.
- Electrical: Certificate of Compliance, Electrical Safety Certificate, Record of Inspection
- Gas & plumbing: Gasfitting CoC, Gas Safety Certificate, Record of Work, Producer Statement
- Sign once at setup — your signature is applied to every certificate when you tap issue
- Can't be issued until every required detail is captured — never a fabricated result
Bill the job
The invoice builds itself from the day you've already logged
You've logged the hours, the materials and the travel — so the invoice is mostly done. Labour comes from your staff log at your wage cost; materials from your buy-cost list. Set a markup on each once and it sticks: the client sees the marked-up charge, your costs never leave your phone. Add GST if you're registered, and the finished invoice drops straight into the client's handover pack.
- Labour markup and materials markup — set once, applied every job
- Your wage rates and buy prices stay private; the client sees charges only
- GST handled, and the invoice rides into the handover with the record and certificates
Run the job, bill it, hand over the paperwork, go home.
